Ok, the last post was crap, but so is this one. My event finally came to a close as you all know, but just recalling what happened makes me want to laugh.
First, I made a mistake while reading the name of the guy who was to make his speech (Mrs Steve will drop her jaws in horror), and then my golden scissors went missing. Whoever took them and happens to be reading this, please have them returned cos they are not real gold and I paid 40 bucks to acquire them and they do not belong to me. Then I had speakers who were really funny. Most of my exhibitors were happy, some were not, but then again, this is the world, not everyone is going to be happy, some do not want to succumb to His will, but instead try to do it their way. My visitors came in all kinds.
I should not be writing this in the public, but I think there are some people who simply goes to all the trade shows in the building to collect freebies. They come every so often to the 'Gifts Redemption Counter'. Erm... hello, try not to redeem gifts but your souls. I am absolutely unable to take the 'el cheapo' style of some of my fellow citizens, but I guess, it is in all of us. There were of course many appreciative people and I am more than happy to serve them.
I worked with great vendors this time around and had great help from fellow colleagues who would come by everyday. I now know which department clearly dislikes my department and won't turn up, save for one member who is genuinely nice, but I say, it's alright.
So, my big thank you goes out to my reg guys, you know who you are, to my official contractors and my official logistics and the official sound ppl, not forgetting my security and my cleaning co. My team n the venue vendors and especially to Jon who made it a point to visit us daily although you are not in-charge. It was my honour and pleasure to work with one and all. Thanks loads!
P.S I wanna thank my friends who have been around for me during those OT and drunk moments and for those who made it a point to drop by the show to lend your support. Thanks, you know I appreciate it loads!
