It's Valentine's Day today. I've always liked this day, even when I was single because of the love that people show to each other and to people around them.

People often argue why there must be a special day set aside, I guess it is to remind people to love despite their hectic schedule. Love is not just between two people. I recall vividly the days in junior college where we celebrate v-dae by giving our friends candies and flowers. It is a day in which they show that you matter to them and what is there not to like and love about this day?

I have never celebrated V-dae with that special someone cos we always think it is too commercialised, but it still warms my heart to see couples being lovey dovey. For the anti-v-day-ers, please look beyond couplehood and look around you. Treasure those you love and show them that they matter. Nobody dictates that v-dae gifts should be expensive, it is always simply a little something with your heart and love that makes this day so special. I'm going to run out there and get my colleagues some lollipops later =)
